Well my hens have started laying again.....3 eggs yesterday but ofcourse i had to throw one of the chickens off the nest to get them....looked like she was still on it at night but running around this morning...so we will see....
as for the one at jenny's.....she decided to get a rooster to keep it company...so one was delivered monday....milton apologized on how noisy he was...and yes once he started in the morning he went all day!! No eggs yet for her but maybe today they both settled down...will keep you informed....
as for my ducks....all is well....one is definitely larger than the other and tail up....male my guess.....

Broody hen went to jenny
I was feeling sorry for the brooding hen so took her to jenny's...ofcourse i finally had gotten 3 eggs again but let's give it a try.....so off she went good friday 10th of april...
came home to NO eggs.....this morning one of them has been in the nest and talking and walking around...maybe they miss her? They always chased her away when she came to eat with them....so we will see what happens....
Chickens have found way into duck pen so now eating their food also!! Guess i will be using alot of rice...they now don't like the corn..only rice...ofcourse jenny is giving her hen vegetables...sorry guys none in the refrig....
Two ducks have dark bills one more pink...she or he as time will tell seems to be the dumbest...the other two get out and she is walking around like how do I get out? It finally figures it out...
They all sleep together in the coop at night..ducks go on their own and sleep on the floor.....

baby ducks arrive here
The baby ducks arrived yesterday late afternoon....put in their pen and immediately found a way out ...but just to the big pen....so here we go again...fixed it and meanwhile they cruised the yard and met the hens and cats.....when i returned from getting a beer sharyn and cb came back with me...and these are her pics...first time with my camera but we got them.....
They have been raised on dog food so sprinkled some that dan had sent in their pen with some chicken starter and rice.....and came in the house after they were returned to their pen.....thinking as always...and saw black cat hanging around and thought no...better put them in the with the chickens...so caught them one more time and placed them in with the hens...they were so quiet and everyone slept fine...including me....the got the little wooden box on floor.
Let them out this morning but the hens were eating their food so put them back in pen and sprinkled some rice....they ate some and are walking around...have not found way into water yet.....
