arrived in livingston in about an hour....boat took us to immigration and went to bank and exchanged $50 usd....8.01 to one.....so paid boat guy...125 ($15.61) and ofcourse first beer.....and off we went up the rio dulce.....
fabulous scenery...pics on another computer.....and then we are greeted at the dock by some guys trying to get us to stay at their place...which we did....boat ride to a little hide away off the main river....different for sure....no bathroom in our room...had to walk to it..but we stayed...$7.50 usd a piece for the room...dinner....lasagna and breakfast and the whole thing was....$25 usd each....
they had lots of friends staying there who spoke german......
left in the morning and back to the town...found a great hotel....little marina in front ...restaurant...and internet!!! yeah.....same price ..$15.61 usd for the room....had a 16 oz t-bone for dinner...lottie had a wood baked pizza......and we took the bus and went to some waterfall with hot water.....fun....beer with the locals...my age....and off to bed.

Bus in the morning to honduras.($12.50).....left at 10 am...so breakfast at bruno's....nice....and a haircut for $3 usd......and off to omoa.......4 hours.....first bus not air conditioned but we switch in about an hour....crossed border...had spanish version of die hard....
omoa honduras...a great place to stay when taking the boat or flying from san pedro sula.....
http://www.suenosdemar.com karen and mark hislop and roli's is the transportation guy for the airport etc....karen and mark's place has some earthquake damage so roli's it was....but we did get to have a few beers with them.....exchange rate here 18 to 1.....we used the air at roli's but was about the same price as the other places.......dinner at flamingo's....$36 for both.....and bus to port...$1.....ride home $55 usd........longer boat ride....2 hours.....and to enter and leave honduras....$3 usd.....each way......belize to leave....$3.25......all prices usd....
